The Rain

I have seen bucket drowned in the rain And a gently crafted sailing canoe paperlike Unknown bodies shivered in cold pain Shops, cars, and houses alike It pours on many and rusty roofs Thunderstorm flashes through closed gates Those who are gone too soon Maybe this time, it's raining for their gain They say the rain is a blessing That the end of drought has come If only it didn't come with many messes We would have rolled out drums Come rain, come shine We know everything will be fine
