I sometimes miss village life!

Joseph the teenager - I miss those days

Sometimes I really miss the village life because of the kind of creativity it came with. See, they say necessity breeds’ invention. So the melting of kasuku cooking fat so that one could use it as lotion is something I find totally genius – proper chemistry so if you may want to look at it. The village people are great thinkers. The kind of life we had was but very adventurous nothing to compare with the urban life. Interacting with the nature itself as it is but not learning things abstractly.

Folks, you very well know how us boys used to way lay girls as they fetched water or firewood. I remember a real situation where we fell to our luck one day. And when it came to the indulgence itself as you know it, one of the boys called up and asked, “Gathuru, haingiragirio ha?(Gathuru, how does one enter(sic)”. What would you have done? You help yourself first or you explain to the fellow where to enter? I opted the former… Time is of essence though.

I could go on and on about my village escapades, which sometimes are not all, too pleasant to hear like the one we burnt a dog for eating my lunch amongst others.
